Tiny Office, Big Ideas
Come join me in my tiny office as we build a community that sparks creativity, emboldens sincere leadership, and forges a new way of managing change in the current chaotic business world.
I am extremely excited to welcome you to this site, and to explain a little bit about the intentions behind what I am offering.
This site is set up primarily for individuals that need improved knowledge, skills, and abilities to progress in their professional lives. Chances are, if you are one of those individuals, you need coaching and mentorship too. I believe that the main way to grow and succeed is with the mentorship and guidance of someone who understands what you are aiming to achieve and will help open the doors that will lead you there.
This is why I have gone about creating this site and its content with that idea of mentorship at its core. Here you will not be receiving the same regurgitated messages about what makes a leader, but you will get practical tools, advice, and guidance on how to find the leader inside of you.
So. What exactly does that mean? As this site continues to grow over the next few weeks, we will be exploring just what makes a leader a leader. We will not only examine the most common leadership personas (such as the Servant Leader, and the Authoritative Leader), but we will also look at more unconventional leadership roles. Are you a secondary leader? If you enjoy supporting your team’s primary leader and providing insights to them and to the team on ways to execute that leader’s vision, you might be well suited to such a role.
Perhaps you are interested in teaching or guiding your peers on your team, rather than being a decision maker. You might be tenured and happy in your current role, and enjoy helping new team members find their way as they join the team. You might see yourself as more of a partnering leader.
Or perhaps you are more solitary and prefer to quietly do your work. That does not mean you do not have important and innate leadership skills. One of the best ways to lead is quietly and with purpose- providing an example to your team members of just how to complete and excel at tasks.
That is the point of the leadership program I offer. I intend to help you identify your desire, your particular set of skills, and guide you to enhance your abilities as the type of leader you most want to be.
